When our mares foal we imprint the foals for 30 days.  After our mares are bred back and foals are imprinted we release the foals with the mares to roam free and adapt to the terrain and the wildlife on the ranch.  At 4 to 5 months of age we bring the foals in to wean.  We continue to handle the foals thru their growing process and further their training.
